Long-running indy promotion Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW) may have dropped the biggest hint yet that former UFC star Matt Riddle is heading for WWE.
In the advertising for their upcoming New Heights event tomorrow night in New Jersey, the promotion wrote “Don’t miss one of Matt Riddle’s final indy appearances before going to WWE”
The tag line was later changed with the final few words mentioning WWE removed.
Riddle has been hotly linked with a WWE deal over recent weeks, having pulled out of several dates over the summer, including the prestigious PWG Battle Of Los Angeles tournament.
Riddle is widely expected to debut in some capacity at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn IV the night before SummerSlam before going full-time with the brand in September.
