Mick Foley wants UFC Women’s Featherweight Champion Cris Cyborg to come over to the WWE.
In an interview with TMZ Foley said:
“I had a meeting with Mr McMahon and I specifically told him ‘keep your eye on the Cyborg-Nunes fight. She’s going to be larger than life and would make a great WWE super star down the line.'”
The fight Foley was referencing is between featherweight champion, Cris Cyborg and bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes. Although the super-fight hasn’t been made officially, both fighters have been talking about it.
Mick also mentioned that he and Cris had been messaging back and forth, although he goes into no further detail about the content, he did re-tweet the following message from Cyborg to Paul Heyman:
Hmmmm @HeymanHustle you looking for an @ufc champion who could hold the @wwe belt at the same time? https://t.co/KttHHuPk3j
— CrisCyborg.Com (@criscyborg) August 7, 2018
Cris Cyborg hasn’t lost a fight since her first bout in May 2005. The only blot on her record since then being a ‘no-contest’ as the result of failing a drug test in 2011.
With Cris mentioning a move to WWE numerous times in the past and the fact that she’s hinted that the Nunes fight might be her last in MMA, the prospect of her and Ronda finally facing off isn’t totally dead and buried.
