Brock Lesnar made his shock return to WWE at Hell in a Cell this past Sunday, sparking rumors of a renewed contract, future plans, and feature matches. New reports have now surfaced, indicating the answers to most of these questions.
Dave Meltzer reported prior to this week’s episode of Raw that Lesnar would be recruited for WWE’s next big Saudi Arabia show on November 2. As we saw on Raw, both the Saudi show – Crown Jewel – and Lesnar’s appearance at the show were confirmed. However, this doesn’t necessarily mean Lesnar has signed a new contract with WWE as he may just be on a per appearance deal. But just how much is he getting paid?
Considering WWE made a reported $45million from their last show in Saudi Arabia – The Greatest Royal Rumble – it’s not surprising they can splash out on bringing in big names with big prices for the events. For reference, $45million is more revenue than SummerSlam or WrestleMania generally makes. As such, WWE are reportedly paying Lesnar at least $1million for his appearance at Crown Jewel.

The numbers are staggering, and you can see why a publicly traded company such as WWE would want to put on shows in Saudi Arabia. This isn’t without controversy however, as the show takes place just five days after WWE’s first ever all-women show, Evolution. Females are banned from competing in Saudi Arabia, so the hypocritical nature of championing women’s equality while simultaneously prioritising money over morals, directly negating the promotion of women’s equality, is something that has drawn a lot of ire from fans.
Crown Jewel will be broadcast live on the WWE Network on November 2.
