Hello and welcome once again to my top ‘WWE Matches of the Week’. Here, as always, I check out all the bouts from the past seven days of WWE TV and cherry pick the very best for you.
A quick reminder that this only focuses on Raw, SmackDown Live, 205 Live and NXT. After all, we all know that Main Event does not exist. This week we also had WWE Super Show-Down which had some cracking matches throughout the night.
Now, without further ado, let’s get cracking!

5. SmackDown Live – WWE Women’s Championship – Becky Lynch (c) vs. Charlotte Flair
Kicking off this week’s list is a record-breaking match between Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair in a Super Show-Down rematch. At 23 minutes, this bout became the longest televised women’s match on either Raw or SmackDown Live in WWE history… and there wasn’t even a winner.
With the emotion heading into this one, a clear victor was not needed as it was simply to set up the “first-ever” last women standing match between the two for WWE Evolution. I definitely recall Asuka and Nikki Cross having a last woman standing match but never mind.
After a grueling back and forth, Lynch decided to grab her title and take the count-out loss, something Flair was not going to let happen. Instead, the ‘Queen’ followed Lynch to the outside and the fight continued as the referee’s count reached 10.
That wasn’t the end, however, as Lynch managed to make it to the top of the ramp before eating a fierce spear through the staging which actually led to lacerations on Flair’s right arm. The match was a perfect feud continuer on TV and set up more emotion for their encounter at Evolution.
