WWE pay-per-views seem to go on forever nowadays, and it will probably come as little surprise to you that April 7’s WrestleMania 35 event looks set to be the longest of all time. Oh joy.
This was initially pointed out by Forbes, who collated a total of 17 matches that we can probably expect to take place.
Other than the seven that have been confirmed that you can see on our event page, here are some likely matches that are yet to be announced:
- Daniel Bryan (c) vs. Kofi Kingston – WWE Championship
- Asuka (c) vs. ??? – WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship
- Bayley & Sasha Banks (c) vs. Beth Phoenix & Natalya vs. Nia Jax & Tamina vs. ??? – WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships
- The Revival (c) vs. Aleister Black & Ricochet vs. ??? – WWE Raw Tag Team Championships
- The Usos (c) vs. The Hardy Boyz vs. The Bar vs. Shinsuke Nakamura & Rusev vs. ??? – WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships
- Samoa Joe (c) vs. ??? – WWE United States Championship
- Bobby Lashley (c) vs. ??? – WWE Intercontinental Championship
- Roman Reigns vs. ???
- André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal
- WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal
Now obviously there’s no guarantee that they’re all going to happen, or with those particular participants, but given the lay of the land at the minute only three weeks out, it can’t be too far off.
There’s 17 matches there, and if we look back to last year, there were 14 matches, and the overall runtime came in at 314 minutes, which is almost five-and-a-half hours, which is a really bloody long time.
So, if you’re planning on watching WrestleMania live, book Monday off, or be a zombie. Probably the Tuesday too. Oh and also the Wednesday. Or, alternatively, just don’t.
