Earlier this week it was announced that New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski had retired from American Football at the age of 29.
Gronkowski has previously appeared for WWE at WrestleMania 33 as a member of the audience. You’ll remember that he helped his real life friend Mojo Rawley win the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal by attacking Jinder Mahal, and there is growing speculation that he could be WWE bound.
Both Mojo and WWE congratulated Gronk on his retirement following the announcement, and now Stephanie McMahon has given a very obvious hint that the company is interested in acquiring his services in the future.
Congratulations @RobGronkowski, this is a tremendous honor by one of my favorite organizations, @USOMetroDC, dedicate to serve those who serve and their families. Thank you for all that you do and good luck with your retirement! Doors are always open @WWE! :))) https://t.co/nLYssgCJdV

Gronk attended the USO MetroDC 37th Annual Awards Dinner on Tuesday night, a dinner also attended by Braun Strowman, Mickie James and Mojo Rawley, who were there representing WWE
As a former, well-known professional athlete, Gronkowski is someone WWE would traditionally be very interested in signing, and everything we’ve seen so far is pointing towards exactly that.
