On Raw this week, it was confirmed that at Money In The Bank, Lacey Evans would be facing Becky Lynch for her Raw Women’s Championship and Seth Rollins would defend his Universal Championship against AJ Styles. On Smackdown the following night, we learnt that Becky will also be defending her Smackdown Women’s Championship against Charlotte Flair, and Elias would be squaring off with Roman Reigns.
As for the rest of the card, Dave Meltzer has suggested several other matches that are rumoured to be taking place at Money In The Bank on May, 19. Following a confrontation on Raw this week, Meltzer has said in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE are likely building towards a clash between The Usos and The Revival at the upcoming pay-per-view.
Obviously other than the two Money In The Bank ladder matches, the following bouts could realistically take place on the show:
“Other programs that look to be building are Usos vs. Revival, Tony Nese vs. Ariya Daivari for the cruiserweight title, Joe vs. Strowman for the U.S. title, Hawkins & Ryder vs. Viking Raiders for the Raw tag titles, and IIconics vs. Asuka & Kairi Sane vs. Rose & Deville for the women’s tag titles.”
The news of WWE building towards Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder vs. The Viking Raiders comes after Ryder was pinned by Ivar and Erik on their Raw debut last week. It has even been rumoured today that War Machine turned War Raiders turned Viking Experience turned Viking Raiders could undergo YET ANOTHER name change.
