It was only reported this morning that WCW Cruiserweight Champion Dean Malenko had left his position as a backstage agent for WWE. However, the former Four Horsemen member has wasted little time in arranging a non-WWE appearance as he has been announced for Starrcast II over Double or Nothing weekend.
This Superstarr is known as The Man of a 1000 holds!! He’s held championships all over the world… #Starrcast II is proud to welcome DEAN MALENKO to Las Vegas, Memorial Day Weekend!

It was initially reported that Malenko had quit WWE, but now it has been reported that he was actually let go by the company as part of them replacing older backstage agents with younger ones.
This is a huge pull for Conrad Thompson as the organiser of Starrcast II was dealt a massive blow this week when Kurt Angle and The Undertaker were pulled from the convention after their new WWE contracts allowed the company to restrict their non-WWE appearances. It also revealed this week that Tom Magee will be in Vegas for the convention.
