Seth Rollins continued on the path to make himself as unpopular as possible when he called AEW the “minor leagues” while discussing a possible match with Kenny Omega.
Now this obviously upset a lot of fans of AEW, who would have assumed that AEW would not be at all happy with what Seth had said, but vice president Cody says he doesn’t take it personally.
Speaking to ESPN Radio, Cody actually praised Seth for his work ethic, and said that all these little jibes are just part of wrestling.
“Seth is super talented, I had his first dark match in WWE, he’s a unique soul, he works his ass off when a lot of people in that company just collected checks, I don’t take it personally, that’s just a part of wrestling.”
Having said this, it’s not as if Cody has tried to hide his own thoughts on WWE, taking some “subtle” shots at his own employers over the past few weeks on AEW: Dynamite.
You will also remember that Cody destroyed a throne with a sledgehammer at AEW: Double or Nothing earlier this year, something many took as a shot at Triple H.
But remember everyone, it’s a marathon, not a sprint.
