WWE has announced that Shorty G and Mustafa Ali will have a tag team match on Smackdown where their spots on Team Smackdown will be on the line. Shorty G and Ali will wrestle Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode on Friday Night.
Earlier today, Baron Corbin questioned whether or not the duo had the resumes to be on the team.
So #SmackDown is being represented by a basketball player and a bootleg iron man? What happened to actual talent? @HEELZiggler and @RealRobertRoode have experience actually winning.

Apparently, Ali and Gable didn’t respond well to the comments. They both felt like they had proven themselves enough. Both responded pointing how had they won previous matches involving Corbin.
I don’t have experience winning? Corbin, I beat you at Hell in a Cell. C’mon, man.
We helped Team Hogan get the W at Crown Jewel, and we’ll do the same at #SurvivorSeries for #Smackdown.
If Zigs and that old tag partner of mine have an issue, they know where to find me. https://t.co/igH7x5Gsaq

Ali took it one step further making fun of Corbin and his GM attire.
Remember when you were GM, dressed like a waiter and constantly said idiotic things?
Remember when @WWEGable and I were on the winning team at Crown Jewel?
We earned our spots on #TeamSmackdown. We won’t have any problem reminding you of that. https://t.co/5yuEa92Gz1

While it seems odd given the supposed brand loyalty, it will be nice for there to actually be some stakes for matches on Smackdown. This will be the second match on Smackdown where a spot at Survivor Series is on the line.
Nikki Cross will be facing Bayley on Smackdown. If she wins she will be the 5th member of the women’s team elimination match.
Daniel Bryan will also be appearing on MizTV. WrestleTalk has all the live coverage of tomorrow night’s Smackdown starting at 8pm eastern.
