Report: Former WWE Champion Brought In For Survivor Series

Sheamus last wrestled on WWE TV two nights after WrestleMania 35 when he teamed with Cesaro and Drew McIntyre to take on New Day on Smackdown.

Since then, it has been reported that the former WWE Champion is dealing with a neck injury. However, reports emerged a few months ago suggesting that Sheamus had actually been cleared to return to the ring.

It was rumoured that Sheamus would be returning at the WWE Draft to reunite with former tag team partner Cesaro. However, those plans never materialised.

His return might just be a few days away as PWInsider is reporting that Sheamus has been brought in by WWE for Survivor Series weekend.

There is no word on what WWE has brought Sheamus to Chicago for, so stay tuned to WrestleTalk.com for the latest on this story.

The only championships in WWE that Sheamus hasn’t won as the Universal and Intercontinental Championships. Some have speculated that he could target either Bray Wyatt or more likely Shinsuke Nakamura on the show.

Speaking of returning former WWE Champions, many people are hoping to see CM Punk appear in a WWE ring for the first time in nearly six years this weekend at Survivor Series.
