Marty Scurll is about to be one of the hottest free agents in professional wrestling. His ROH contract is set to run out at the end of November.
However, ROH announced today that Marty Scurll will be appearing at Final Battle on December 13, 2019. He is set to team with Flip Gordon and will wrestle Bandido and Flamita.
At the very least, this means he’s agreed to appear for the one more show after his contract runs out.

On the other hand, it could mean he is still negotiating a contract with ROH. Dave Meltzer reported last week that Marty seemed to be deciding between New Japan and AEW.
A signing with NJPW would mean he could still appear for ROH. However, his dates would be limited and NJPW would get priority over conflicting dates.

AEW has not announced another pay-per-view at this point. It might be that Marty will eventually sign with AEW, but is willing to make an appearance or two for ROH until AEW is ready for him to debut at a major show.
AEW is hosting a special Dynamite called Bash at the Beach on January 16th. That might be a great show for him to debut at.
This would also allow Marty Scurll to get one last Wrestle Kingdom appearance in if he chose to do so. Stay tuned to WrestleTalk.com for further developments around Marty Scurll’s signing.
