It was reported in the Summer that WWE was keen on signing Saree, a top Japanese female star. Triple H reportedly personally scouted Saree while WWE was on tour in Japan.
Now it seems like a deal between the two parties might have been reached as Saree revealed that she will be leaving Japan next month.
At a recent World Women Pro-Wrestling Diana show in Japan, Saree dropped the WWWD World Championship to Ayako Sato. Some have speculated that this is because Saree has agreed to join WWE.
Immediately following the match, Saree cut a promo where she said she would be leaving Diana and Japan in February “to go to the USA.”
While she did not mention WWE by name, she stated numerous times in interviews in 2019 that she thinks she will be doing some work with WWE this year.
