NXT stole the show at Survivor Series in November by defeating Raw and SmackDown across the board for the night. Now it seems like NXT are going to have a continued presence at WWE pay-per-views in 2020.
It was reported following Survivor Series that NXT was set to be involved in the men’s and women’s Royal Rumble matches later this month, and now it seems the black and gold brand might have stars appearing at WrestleMania.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select is reporting that WWE has told several NXT stars at the Performance Center “to be ready” for a possible appearance at WrestleMania 36.
Sapp also confirmed a report made by WrestleVotes a few weeks back that stated that the WrestleMania card was far from finalised, with many matches being unconfirmed at this point.
It is interesting and refreshing to hear that WWE is considering giving a spotlight to a few NXT stars at WrestleMania later on this year. It would be a nice change from previous years.
It remains unclear whether WWE wants the NXT stars to have their own separate match on the show, or if an NXT star will go up against a wrestler from either Raw or SmackDown. Make sure you stay tuned to WrestleTalk.com for the latest on that.
