It is now common knowledge that Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder of the Revival will be leaving WWE once their contracts expire in the next couple of months.
Fans watching SmackDown will have noticed that the duo have been absent from TV for several weeks now, and the latest sign that the end is nigh came with the announcement for the tag Elimination Chamber match for Sunday.
Instead of the Revival, the Lucha House Party was announced for the match, something that has come as a direct result of the Revival’s plan to leave, saying Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
WWE, Dawson and Wilder are in a bit of a trademark battle with each other at the moment, with WWE filing trademark applications for both “The Mechanics”, which is the duo’s old tag name, and “No Flips Just Fists”, which is one of the Revival’s catchphrases.
The pair have fought back with their own trademark applications however, filing for “FTRKO,” “Top Guys,” “Say Yeah,” “Shatter Machine,” and “No Flips, Just Fists”, so it doesn’t sound like the friendliest of farewells.
The tag team have retained the services of the lawyer who handles trademarks within AEW, so it is thought that they will likely be debuting in the promotion in the not too distant future.
