As reported by NBC, the Governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis, has issued a stay-at-home order lasting thirty days starting Thursday at midnight. This will likely affect the way WWE airs their current product going forward.
WWE has content filmed in advance taking them through next week’s NXT. This means the order shouldn’t impact WrestleMania or the following Raw, but beyond that is anyone’s guess.
WWE could be forced to air reruns of old episodes of the show as they will be unable to film any additional episodes from the WWE Performance Center going forward. Given they have thousands of hours of footage available on the WWE Network they shouldn’t have trouble filling the necessary time.
AEW is facing the same restrictions as they have recently been taping their shows at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville. They recently moved their filming location elsewhere so it remains to be seen how much they will be affected.
It appears things are only going to get worse before they get better. These WWE Performance Center shows have been a suitable placeholder but now WWE must consider other options.
