Earlier this month, WWE confirmed that just shy of 18 months after originally asking to leave the company, The Revival were granted their WWE releases and were free to wrestle for other promotions.
It has been widely speculated that Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson (now Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood) will join AEW, and WrestleTalk’s sources have confirmed that the duo will be signing deals with the promotion, if they haven’t already.
And in fact, the latest episode of Being the Elite appears to have confirmed that Wheeler and Harwood will indeed be joining the promotion.
However, WrestleTalk has also learnt that Wheeler and Harwood, now collectively known as The Revolt, will not be signing exclusive deals with the promotion.
We have been told that the duo have a strong desire to wrestle in the UK and there has even been talk of them working for Japanese promotions, possibly NJPW.
Our sources tell us that The Revolt want to have similar deals with the company as Jon Moxley. Despite being AEW World Champion, Moxley is able to work for NJPW and other overseas promotions.
The faith shown by AEW in allowing Moxley to be their world champion despite not being exclusively signed to the promotion is likely a reason why Revolt feel comfortable in asking for a similar deal.
