There has been a new development in the ever-changing landscape of WWE’s 205 Live cruiserweight division brand, whose status never seems set in stone.
Over the last few weeks, 205 Live has aired on the WWE Network in its usual slot straight after SmackDown finishes, but no new matches have been broadcast, only old ones.
This includes matches from past episodes of the show, and also just random retro matches that the 205 Live stars themselves have nominated as their favourites.
PWInsider is now reporting that, during the tapings at the Performance Center this week, two episodes’ worth of new 205 Live matches have been taped.
The episodes are slated to be about 30 minutes each, and will presumably feature Jeremy Borash on commentary which seemed to be confirmed as his new role last Friday.
Eight cruiserweights have been in action as part of the interim Cruiserweight Championship tournament on NXT TV while Jordan Devlin can’t travel.
