Despite a lot of people labelling WWE as extremely reckless for putting on shows during the COVD-19 pandemic, the promotion continues to tape shows, while reportedly doing everything to limit risks of the virus spreading.
Alexa Bliss spoke about exactly what the current process looks like during a recent interview, as you can see below.
She said:
“WWE is being super careful, super cautious and super safe. Before we go on into the Performance Center, we have to have our temperatures checked, we have to get evaluated by a doctor. We have to sign a survey to say that we haven’t travelled anywhere, that we don’t have any symptoms. We’re all wearing masks, we’re practising social distancing. Everything is being cleaned to a medical grade standard and keeping everyone safe is the main priority.”
Most reports suggest that WWE has also told its wrestlers that they have every right to request to stay home during the pandemic, and that no-one will be punished if they do not wish to work.
This lack of punishment report came under scrutiny last week when Sami Zayn was stripped of the Intercontinental Championship last week after he decided not to work tapings, with a lot of people saying it was unfair to take the belt off him.
