Last night on Impact Wrestling, former NXT star Deonna Purrazzo, who was only released by WWE in April, debuted for the promotion by attacking Knockout’s Champion Jordynne Grace.
Purrazzo joins a very impressive women’s division in Impact Wrestling that features the aforementioned Grace, Taya Valkryie, former AEW star Kylie Rae and more.
While Purrazzo is a fantastic signing for Impact, it does not appear as if the promotion is going to be leaving the free-agent market anytime soon, as former WWE star and former TNA Heavyweight Champion EC3 heavily teased that he will be joining Impact last week.
This came after EC3, Rusev, Curt Hawkins, Drake Maverick, Aiden English, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson and Eric Young were also teased to be joining Impact in a promotional video for next month’s Slammiversary show.
However, it seems like another recently released WWE star who was not referenced in the clip may also be joining Impact Wrestling in the coming months, as was teased on this week’s show.
In a backstage segment, Rhino teased that Heath Slater will be joining Impact Wrestling. Rhino said that he “already has a tag team partner”, and that partner “has kids”. This is obviously a reference to Heath Slater.

This would actually be a great signing for Impact Wrestling, and reforming the very popular Slater and Rhyno tag team that won the SmackDown Tag Championships in 2016 could prove to be an incredibly smart piece of business.
