Here’s the latest news regarding whether Tessa Blanchard will be returning the IMPACT Wrestling World Championship belt following her firing.
Fightful is reporting that the belt is being sent back, and noted that Blanchard’s party said the delay was because they only received the address to send it to last week.
There had previously been reports that Blanchard was demanding a pretty large sum of money to send the title back to the promotion, but this is said to have been incorrect.
Blanchard was fired a few weeks ago after she hadn’t sent in promo videos that had been requested, because she’d been unable to travel to shows during the COVID-19 pandemic.
She was thus stripped of the World Title and removed from the Slammiversary main event, which ended up being Eddie Edwards winning over Ace Austin, Rich Swann, Trey Miguel, and Eric Young.
There’s no doubt Tessa Blanchard is one of the most talented wrestlers in the world, so the question is will promotions overlook her allegedly controversial track record to sign her.
