The first match for next month’s WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view was made official during tonight’s episode of Raw on the USA Network.
Tonight there was a three-way tag team match to determine who would challenge the Street Profits for the Raw Tag Team Championship.
The team of Angel Garza & Andrade defeated both the Viking Raiders and Cedric Alexander & Ricochet, with Garza pinning Alexander, to earn the title bout.
The Profits, Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford, have held the titles since the March 2 episode of Raw when they defeated Seth Rollins & Murphy.
Also during Raw, Randy Orton made it known that he wants to challenge Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship at SummerSlam, but that match hasn’t been made official as of this writing.
Stay tuned to WrestleTalk.com for further updates on SummerSlam, as WWE has announced it will no longer be held in Boston and there are even rumours that it could be held outdoors.
