On Monday Night before Raw, AEW debuted its brand new Deadly Draw YouTube show, which featured two women’s matches as part of the women’s tag team tournament.
The show featured Veda Scott on commentary, Shaul Guerrero (Vickie Guerrero’s daughter) as the ring announcer, as well as a special guest appearance from WWE Hall of Famer Madusa.
This is the first time that Madusa (also known as Alundra Blayze) has appeared on AEW programming. She joins the likes of Bret Hart, DDP and more as WWE Hall of Famers who have since appeared for AEW.
While speaking to the aforementioned Vickie Guerrero on her Excuse Me podcast, Brandi Rhodes spoke about Madusa’s appearance on Monday’s YouTube show:
“[Madusa] is quite the legend. She looks amazing. She doesn’t change. She is always stunning. Her voice is spectacular. She’s on point. She looks great and I love Madusa. I think it’s good for our women’s division to have legendary women around like Madusa and like yourself, Vickie. It only elevates these girls to become more and to strive for bigger and better things.”
Rhodes didn’t rule out the possibility of Madusa appearing for AEW again in the future. However, it isn’t believed that she has any sort of deal with the promotion.
