Former WWE Star Makes IMPACT Wrestling Return

Former WWE Star Makes IMPACT Wrestling Return

It seems about this time every week for the last two months I write an article titled forme WWE wrestler debuts for IMPACT Wrestling. Tonight is no different.

Brian Myers made his IMPACT Wrestling debut tonight. Technically, it’s not a debut. Myers wrestled for IMPACT Wrestling when IMPACT and Global Force Wrestling were working together.

However, this is his first appearance since re-signing with the company after being released from WWE back in April. Myers (Curt Hawkins) was released as part of the massive lay-offs of WWE due to cost-cutting measures related to the pandemic.

Myers wrestled Eddie Edwards in his version of the open challenge. Eddie Edwards has been inviting wrestlers to challenge him for the IMPACT Championship.

Myers looked really good in his match. He seemed energized by being back in the ring and you could tell he enjoyed getting the chance to show what he can do.

The rest of the show featured several other former WWE Stars. Here are the IMPACT Wrestling Results:

  • Eric Young defeated Willie Mack
  • Wrestle House Segment
  • Jordynne Grace defeats Kimber Lee by Submission
  • Larry D defeats Acey Romero
  • Kierra Hogan and Tasha Steelz defeat Naveah and Havok
  • Suicide and Dez – No Contest when Gallows and Anderson attacked everyone
  • The Good Brothers Call out Ace Austin and Madman Fulton
  • Eddie Edwards defeats Brian Myers

Impact Emergence is next week and features the following card:

  • Impact Wrestling Champion Eddie Edwards’ Open Challenge.
  • X-Division Champ Chris Bey vs. Rohit Raju vs. TJP (with Fallah Bah).
  • Impact Wrestling Tag Team Champions The North vs. The Motor City Machineguns
  • TNA Champion Moose vs. Trey Miguel.
  • Ace Austin & Mad Man Fulton vs. The Good Brothers.
