Since March, WWE fans have not been able to attend any episodes of Raw, SmackDown, NXT or even pay-per-view events because of the Coronavirus pandemic. However, it seems like WWE may be preparing to ease fans back in.
It has been reported by several reputable journalists that WWE is going to be using the Amway Center in Orlando as their new home for TV tapings and pay-per-view. According to reports, all shows will also be live from next week.
While it doesn’t seem like fans are going to be at the shows from next week, this is certainly a step in the right direction for WWE welcoming fans back to their shows in the near future. This comes after AEW had around 150 fans in attendance for Dynamite this week.
In the meantime, PWInsider is reporting that WWE is considering using “virtual fans” for shows before they can welcome actual fans into the Amway Center for shows. Here’s what the site had to say on the matter:
“PWInsider.com can also confirm that WWE is, for the first time, toying with using virtual fans as a possibility for future broadcasts, including Summerslam. WWE broadcast partner FOX has been using virtual fans for their Major League Baseball broadcasts. There are no plans to sell tickets to fans for Summerslam”.
It’s unclear, at this time, how the virtual fans would work. For the latest updates, make sure you stay tuned to WrestleTalk.com.
