After years away from NXT, Corey Graves will be returning for NXT Takeover: XXX. The announcement was made by Triple H during a Q&A session earlier today.
Graves began his commentary career in NXT almost six years ago. He was offered an announcers contract when his in-ring career was forced to end and he made his debut as an announcer at NXT Takeover: R-Evolution.

He worked in NXT for nearly two years before making the jump to the main roster in 2016. Graves initially began calling Monday Night Raw before moving to SmackDown. Currently, he and Michael Cole are the announcers for SmackDown on Fox.
We do not currently know who the rest of the commentary team will be.
You may remember last year Graves put out a tweet criticizing Mauro Ranallo’s commentary at NXT Takeover: WarGames. This led to Ranallo missing Survivor Series the next night and a ton of backlash being put on Graves by fans. Ranallo has, of course, struggled with depression and bipolar disorder and many thought Graves’ comments were insensitive and uncalled for. Ranallo and Beth Phoenix have been calling NXT as of late, albeit remotely, while Vic Joseph has joined them from the Performance Center.
