WWE held a Fatal 4-Way Gold Rush match tonight on SmackDown. The announced competitors for the match were Big E, Sheamus, King Corbin, and Matt Riddle. However, those four didn’t wind up being in the match.
Sheamus attacked Big E and slammed him through a car window. Big E was out. Who was in? Jey Uso, that’s who.

Roman Reigns new special council Paul Heyman convinced whoever is making the matches, maybe Adam Pearce, to insert Jey Uso into the match.
You know whenever there’s a replacement competitor, bet on them to win. Jey Uso defeated the other 3 guys in the match and will be facing his cousin Roman Reigns.
Before the match, Uso and Reigns had two interactions. First, Uso congratulated Reigns on his win, but asked why he’d been giving him the cold shoulder all week.
Later, Uso would visit the locker room of Reigns. Reigns tried to psych him out. Telling Uso his brother would win and that he wins everything. Uso just said basically he’d see him at Clash.
Believe THAT.

He made good on his word and the real life family members will be facing off. This story makes since. Roman is officially a heel. Now he’s got Heyman doing family favors, but really he’s probably thinking Uso is the easiest to beat or “will do the right thing.”
Either way, the match should be entertaining and it will be nice to see a fresh face in a main event match.
