Earlier this week, it was ruled that all sporting events in Florida can take place without any governmental restrictions on fan attendance, despite the very obvious dangers of doing this during a global pandemic.
This has led to speculation that both AEW and WWE would be leaving their current filming venues in favour of arenas which allow more fans.
While WWE may do this in the near future, it appears that AEW is very comfortable filming in Daily’s Place, where they have been filming since the start of the pandemic.
According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, AEW has zero plans to move anywhere else, as Daily’s Place allows fans to be socially distanced from wrestlers, and any AEW staff.
The Newsletter noted that while some fans are currently able to watch live, they are restricted to very particular areas of seating, far away from any potentially vulnerable members of the AEW roster, like Jake Roberts or Tully Blanchard.
We don’t yet know whether the Florida ruling will result in AEW inviting more fans along to AEW Dynamite and PPV tapings, but now that there is nothing stopping them, there’s every chance that we might.
Do you think more fans should be allowed to attend? Let us know in the comments.
