It was revealed earlier today that Matt Jackson of the Young Bucks is dealing with legitimate injuries. More specifically, he has a partially torn MCL and a thinning ACL. There was some concern regarding his status for AEW Full Gear.
Now, Jackson has provided an update on his condition. Using the Young Bucks’ Twitter account, Matt revealed that he has been cleared to compete come Saturday. Here is the statement in full:
I appreciate everyone’s concern about my injury. However, I have indeed been medically cleared by my doctor to participate in Saturday’s match against The Bore Horsemen at Full Gear, live on PPV. Thank you for the support.

The Young Bucks are set to take on FTR for the AEW World Tag Team Championship at the event. In short, it is a match they need to win. With the self-imposed stipulation that they will never challenge for the titles again if they lose, the Young Bucks cannot afford to fail.
Additionally, Matt Jackson has been injured in storyline as well. FTR has targeted his leg, Pillmanizing him with a chair on Dynamite. It remains to be seen whether he will be able to fight through the pain come Saturday.
