Dave Meltzer is reporting on Wrestling Observer Radio that Braun Strowman is injured and has subsequently been ruled out of the major match that WWE had planned for him at TLC next month:
“[Braun Strowman] won’t be at TLC, so the impression I get the triple threat will be for the WWE title shot.”
It was reported earlier this week before the post-Survivor Series episode of Raw that Braun Strowman was set to face WWE Champion Drew McIntyre at TLC next month in the main event slot.
However, many people began to doubt that report after Braun Strowman was suspended on Raw last week, with AJ Styles, Riddle and Keith Lee earning spots in a triple threat match next week to determine Drew McIntyre’s opponent at TLC.
We know why the report made by Meltzer prior to Raw doesn’t make much sense now, and many have speculated that the injury is the reason that WWE has made the decision to suspend Braun Strowman and give him some time off TV.
At this time, the planned winner of the triple threat match scheduled for Raw next week is unclear, so we currently do not know who Drew McIntyre is going to be defending his WWE Championship against at TLC next month.
