WWE TLC is named for the Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match. Given that fact, you knew there would have to be a TLC match added to next Sunday’s pay-per-view. However, we weren’t sure which title would be hanging above the ring.
Tonight, on WWE SmackDown, it appears we have our answer. Kevin Owens challenged Roman Reigns to a Universal Championship Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match.
Surprisingly, Roman accepted on the spot. Moments later, Michael Cole announced on commentary WWE officials had made the match official.
Kevin Owens vs. Roman Reigns in a TLC match should be a can’t miss match. However, given the match is no DQ, it would seem Jey Uso is destined to get involved.
Did @WWERomanReigns just accept?!? Will he put the #UniversalTitle on the line against @FightOwensFight in a TLC Match at #WWETLC?! pic.twitter.com/9E2D5nVkp2

While this certainly seems like the headliner for the show, WWE also announced two other matches prior to the start of SmackDown.
Randy Orton will be wresting The Fiend. Additionally, Lana and Asuka will be challenging Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles.
As always, WrestleTalk will have live coverage of WWE TLC on Sunday, December 13, 2020
