Nick Jackson reportedly injured his leg during the eight-man opening tag team match on this week’s episode of Dynamite that saw The Young Bucks team with SCU to take on TH2 and The Acclaimed.
The injury came after Nick Jackson blocked a Jack Evans 630 Splash with his knees. Nick reportedly thought that he’d actually broken his leg, which you can read more about by clicking here.
Writing in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer has noted that the current feeling is that Nick Jackson is going to be ready to go by the next set of AEW Dynamite tapings on January 20th:
He iced the leg all night and it was doing better and the doctors thought it was a contusion. At press time he thinks he’ll be okay to wrestle by 1/20, which is the next taping since the 1/13 show was taped on 1/7. Originally they were going to be in an added match on the 1/13 show in some form which couldn’t be announced because the angle hadn’t run.
After the closing angle on Dynamite this week, AEW promoted on social media that The Bucks would team with Kenny Omega on next week’s show, but that match will likely have been postponed due to Nick’s injury.
