A WWE star was said to be “banged up” following a scary and dangerous spot during their match at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view on Sunday.
During the SmackDown Women’s Championship match, Carmella did a dive to the outside onto Sasha Banks that could have ended a lot worse than it did, but still left her a bit worse for wear.
Speaking on the latest After The Bell podcast, Carmella’s real-life partner Corey Graves gave an update on her condition, saying:
“Anyone watching when that dive happened and Carmella went sailing through the bottom rope, and I believe it’s known as a scorpion… that’s what my kids call it when we watch fail videos. When somebody’s feet hit the back of their head, it was not a good time. She landed face-first and I’m pretty sure she kicked herself in the back of the head. She was a little banged up but she’s still alive, she’s still kicking, she’ll be alright.”
She did also enter the women’s Royal Rumble match shortly after, coming in at #24, although she did only last 47 seconds and most of that was spent in the arms of Reginald on the outside.
