On AEW Dynamite this week, Lee Johnson teamed with former TNT Champion Cody Rhodes to take on the duo of Peter Avalon and Cezar Bononi. This was Johnson’s first win inside an AEW ring.
Following his big win, Dave Meltzer is reporting in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter than Lee Johnson, who was previously working with a pay-per-appearance deal, has now signed a full-time contract with the promotion:
Lee Johnson has gone from a per-date deal to a guaranteed money full-time deal
Meltzer also reported that Cody Rhodes is the person behind the subtle Lee Johnson feud that was started on AEW Dynamite this week, which you can read more about by clicking here.
