While speaking with The New York Post ahead of last night’s NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day show, Finn Balor teased that we may be seeing the return of The Demon King gimmick soon.
After defeating Pete Dunne at TakeOver last night, many people have speculated that Finn Balor’s next title challenger will be Karrion Kross. Balor recently teased that he may bring out his Demon gimmick for a feud with Kross in the future:
“Obviously, there are moments in time for everything. Right now it doesn’t feel like the time for The Demon, but I’m sure there will be a moment where I go OK now it’s time to rock. You know, Karrion might be that time, but we will have to see how events kind of develop. Hiis character is definitely something that is very intriguing to the audience. Whether The Demon can add another element to that kind of situation when it arises will be interesting.”
Finn Balor has not used the Demon gimmick since returning to NXT in October 2019 after just over three years on the main roster, which will make the reintroduction of the gimmick even more impactful, when it eventually does happen.
