Ringside News – who have had a pretty good record of backstage scoops in recent months – is reporting that former Cruiserweight Championship has now begun working as a main roster backstage producer for the company.
The site is reporting Kendrick, who has worked as a trainer for WWE before too, started his role as a main roster backstage producer at Tropicana Field for last night’s episode of SmackDown:
Ringside News has learned that Brian Kendrick started as a backstage producer for SmackDown this week.
Kendrick was a producer for NXT, but they have moved him up to the blue brand. This is not the first time that Kendrick worked behind the scenes for WWE. He worked from 2014 to 2016 as a trainer as well.
As the report notes, Brian Kendrick had been working as a backstage producer for NXT for quite some time, but the company has opted to bring the former champion up to SmackDown to help put together matches/segments.
