Legendary wrestling composer Jim Johnston has revealed which former WWE Champion hated the theme song he made for the star.
From The Rock to Triple H, Jim Johnston has created entrance music for some of WWE’s most iconic stars. According to Johnston himself, not everyone is satisfied with the final product.
Speaking with Lucha Libre Online, Johnston explained how he had learned that Randy Orton disliked his “Voices” entrance theme. Noting that he’s never spoken with The Viper about the track since composing it, but Johnson was told that Orton hated his walk-out song.
Here is the full quote:
“I never spoke to him directly. But Randy Orton apparently hated his theme. I don’t know if he still does. I don’t even know why, but apparently that was true. I never spoke with him about it.”
Orton has been using Voices for over a decade now. His music notably closed out Hell In A Cell 2020 after he defeated Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship.
Johnston worked with WWE for over 30 years before he was released from his contract in 2017. He made his first non-WWE wrestling appearance during All In’s Starrcast fan convention in 2018.
