It has emerged that WWE Raw star Damian Priest was working through an injury during his match on night one of WrestleMania 37.
Priest teamed with Bad Bunny to pick up a win over John Morrison and The Miz in a tag team match for which Bunny received a lot of praise.
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio about why Priest didn’t do much during the match, Dave Meltzer said:
“Well Priest has a bad back so that’s perhaps some of it. I guess the idea of why they were talking about a singles match was because of Priest’s injury. I thought it was Morrison’s injury, but I guess it was Priest’s injury. But he was just cleared, I was told last minute, I don’t know if last minute means last week. I heard it was touch-and-go, that’s what I was told today. So he was hurting.”

Other than the Royal Rumble match in January, Priest has remained undefeated on the main roster.
Bad Bunny’s showing earned him a lot of praise and some even said he surpassed Pat McAfee’s debut match against Adam Cole.
