A new report has discussed the future of Kenny Omega in IMPACT after he won the IMPACT World Championship at Rebellion.
On Sunday night, Omega walked out of Rebellion with both the AEW World and IMPACT World Championships. It is now being reported that Omega is set to compete at IMPACT’s Under Siege event.
As per Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Omega will defend the IMPACT World Title during this special event next month. It was previously announced that Under Siege would take place on Saturday, May 15, airing on IMPACT Plus.
Kenny Omega now holds major championships for 3 separate promotions. In October 2019, he defeated Fenix to win the AAA Mega Championship. Omega defeated Jon Moxley for the AEW Championship in December, before pinning Rich Swann for the IMPACT gold at Rebellion.
It is currently not known who Omega will defend his newly won title against. It will be interesting to see who challenges Omega first, since the dominant champion hasn’t lost a singles match since late 2019.
In IMPACT Wrestling news, the company released a promo for Slammiversary 2021. Several recently released WWE stars featured in this video, teasing their return to IMPACT.
Another champion draped in gold, Will Ospreay currently holds the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship and the Rev Pro British Heavyweight Title. Ospreay recently reacted to Omega’s double-title victory on Instagram.
