NJPW has revealed that the next IWGP World Heavyweight Champion will be crowned at Dominion in next month.
Earlier this week, Kazuchika Okada revealed that his sights are set on the vacant IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. He will have the chance to claim the gold on June 7, set to go one-on-one with a fan-favorite.
It was announced by NJPW that Okada will face Shingo Takagi at Dominion to determine the next Heavyweight Champion. In their last singles clash, Takagi bested Okada to advance in the New Japan Cup 2021. The Rainmaker won the encounter prior, defeating Takagi in the G1 Climax 2020.
Kota Ibushi will also be in action at Dominion. The former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion will go one on one with United Empire member Jeff Cobb.
Junior Heavyweight gold will also be on the line, with El Desperado defending his title against YOH.

Dominion was scheduled for June 6, however NJPW postponed the event a day, moving the show to June 7.
Okada and Takagi will fight to become the third-ever IWGP World Heavyweight Champion. The second titleholder, Will Ospreay, was forced to relinquish the gold due to injury.
