WWE has requested an extension to investigate and answer a patent infringement lawsuit filed against the company last month.
The suit was filed by SITO Mobile on May 21 the United States Court for the District of Delaware, alleging that WWE has infringed on a number of streaming media patents.
Heel By Nature obtained court documents of WWE requesting an extension to investigate the suit, as you can see below:
IT IS HEREBY STIPULATED by the parties, through their undersigned counsel, subject to the approval of the Court, that Defendant’s time to answer, move, or otherwise respond to the Complaint in this action shall be extended to July 29, 2021
The reason for this requested extension is to allow counsel for Defendant additional time to investigate the allegations set forth in Plaintiffs’ Complaint and consider an appropriate response. No party will be prejudiced by this brief extension.
The complaint, which you can read at this link, outlines 12 patents that SITO Mobile alleges that WWE is infringing.
