Tonight is the official debut of the new ‘NXT 2.0’, and we now have some backstage notes regarding the show, via PWInsider.
PWInsider’s report confirms the previous report by Andrew Zarian that WWE will be branding the show as ‘NXT 2.0’ going forward.
PWInsider has reported that Kevin Dunn is backstage for tonight’s show, whilst Paul Levesque is understandably not present. Also not present is former NXT Champion Samoa Joe, who relinquished the title over the weekend.
The report states that the script for the show has changed ‘a ton’, and that there is a ‘weird’ backstage atmosphere amongst the talent.
The script changes have already taken effect, as the previously announced NXT Women’s Championship bout between Raquel Gonzalez and Franky Monet has been removed from the show.
