As per Dave Meltzer, Sami Callihan suffered a broken ankle during the Saturday’s IMPACT TV tapings. Callihan reportedly has underwent surgery following his injury.
Meltzer and F4WOnline report that Callihan is expected to be out of action until spring 2022. Callihan has yet to comment on his injury.
Callihan teamed with Eddie Edwards during last week’s pre-taped Victory Road pay-per-view. Neither Callihan or Edwards reportedly took part in Friday’s IMPACT tapings.
In recent weeks, both have been feuding with Moose and W Morrissey. Callihan challenged Kenny Omega for the IMPACT World Championship at Slammiversary in July.
A number of notable names, including Christopher Daniels, were present during recent tapings. You can read spoilers for the September 17 tapings here.
We wish Callihan a safe and healthy recovery.
