It’s being reported that last night’s WWE Raw saw a significant number of people leave during the Alexa Bliss/Charlotte Flair segment.
The segment was an in-ring ‘Alexa’s Playground’, building to the Raw Women’s Championship match with Flair defending against Bliss at Extreme Rules this coming Sunday.
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said that 1,500 of the 8,000 fans in attendance left the show during this segment.
Update: Bliss herself has taken to Twitter to dispute Meltzer’s report.
Meltzer explained:
“So they had about 8,000 in the building which is not bad, not good, I mean it’s fine. People were leaving in droves during this segment. I heard 1,500 people left.
“And it’s not like they left, went to the bathroom and came back. They left, went home, at 10pm. People were going home at 10pm, which I have never heard of people going home in any numbers during a live Raw, and this was the first. And it was this segment.”

These kinds of segments involving Bliss have been polarising to say the least, and it seems like the Raleigh crowd certainly wasn’t impressed.
Bliss does a great job in her role, so it’s not her fault, but it just so happens that it’s a role a lot of people don’t think belongs on a wrestling show.
