The viewership figures for the October 5 edition of NXT 2.0, featuring a NXT Tag Team Championship four-way match, have been revealed.
As per ShowBuzzDaily, Tuesday’s show drew an average of 632,000 viewers. This is down from the 655,000 who tuned in on September 28.
In the key 18-49 demographic, the show received a 0.13 rating, equal to 170,000 viewers in the demo, the lowest demo rating since before the brand reboot. Last week’s show earned a 0.14 (183,000 viewers) demo rating.
This is the third straight week that NXT has seen a decline in viewership. In the main event of the show, MSK successfully defended their NXT Tag Team Championship against Grizzled Young Veterans, Brooks Jensen & Josh Briggs, and Carmelo Hayes & Trick Williams.
Also on the show, Harland (Parker Bourdreaux) made his official NXT 2.0 debut, having a stare-down with Joe Gacy. Mandy Rose also defeated Ember Moon in the episode’s opening match.
NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa was confronted by Bron Breakker, before it was announced that the prospect will challenge for Goldie at NXT Halloween Havoc on October 26.
Johnny Gargano has recently removed references to NXT and the USA Network from his Twitter bio, fuelling speculation that he’s either on the verge of receiving a main-roster call-up, or will be out the door when his current deal expires in December.
