WWE posted a quote from Brock Lesnar after yesterday’s Crown Jewel pay-per-view, where he threatened to ‘beat Roman Reigns senseless’ on tonight’s episode of SmackDown (October 22).
Lesnar did his best to make good on his threat, assaulting Roman Reigns and the Usos around the ringside area, before referees, agents and SmackDown stars attempted to break up the brawl.
WWE Official Adam Pearce then got into the ring and said that Brock Lesnar was ‘indefinitely suspended’ due to his actions on tonight’s show, before Lesnar returned to the ring and assaulted Pearce. The announcers were talking down to Pearce as if he was a heel, but it is not known if this was intended to be an official turn for him.
It was reported earlier this month that Reigns and Lesnar are set to feud long-term, so this was used as a way to write the Beast off of television for the forseeable future.
