It’s being reported that Orange Cassidy vs Matt Hardy was originally planned to take place at Saturday’s AEW Full Gear pay-per-view.
The Full Gear card has changed quite a lot from original plans with new matches being added and changed, but it sounds like this one was cut.
Speaking on today’s Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said:
“So they were gonna do the match on the pay-per-view, and because we already have 10 matches, they’re gonna put that match on Rampage on Friday night.”

Other changes to the Full Gear card have included the Adam Page vs Kenny Omega match which was originally planned for All Out, Jon Moxley being replaced by Miro against Bryan Danielson, and Cody Rhodes & Pac vs Malakai Black & Andrade El Idolo originally being planned to be a four-way, not a tag match.
Orange Cassidy vs Matt Hardy on Rampage tomorrow will be a lumberjack match.
