Former TNT Champion Darby Allin already has big things in mind for his first match with Bryan Danielson in AEW.
With both men being from Washington state (Allin from Seattle and Danielson from Aberdeen), Allin said he hopes AEW’s debut in Seattle is where the first match between them takes place.
Speaking with Barstool Sports, Allin said:
“My goal is whenever we debut for Seattle to be the first time we wrestle. It would be lots of fun. Good energy.
“He goes out there every week it seems like and has these crazy matches. That’s awesome because there’s no ego. Like, ‘I only wrestle on pay-per-views’. I could’ve sworn he was on Dark, he was on Dark. That’s pretty cool.”
Danielson actually worked two matches at the October 24 Dark tapings, one which has already aired, which was a win over Aaron Solo, and another under a mask as ‘Infinito’, picking up a win over Ray Jaz.
He currently seems to be working his way through matches against every member of the Dark Order until he challenges Adam Page for the AEW World Championship, having so far beaten Evil Uno and Colt Cabana, and set to face Alan Angels this week.
Meanwhile, Darby Allin and Sting have been embroiled in a mini-rivalry with the Gunn Club, which it looks like will culminate this week in a tag team match.
