When then-ROH Women’s World Champion Rok-C attended a recent WWE tryout, fans were speculating about her possibly being signed by WWE.
Rok-C recently lost the ROH Women’s World Championship to Deonna Purrazzo on IMPACT, and then lost in her debut match for MLW last weekend, which added more fuel to speculation that she had signed with WWE.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful was asked about Rok-C on a recent Fightful Select Q&A (subscription required). He was asked about whether there was any interest from AEW, or if she was WWE-bound.
Sapp gave a pretty telling answer, saying:
“People in WWE think she’s WWE-bound. But AEW did have interest in her, they contacted her before her ROH deal and they were gonna bring her in. But what you can’t do is get that tryout and then just expect WWE to bring you in and not work anywhere else. She’s done ROH, IMPACT, she did a WWE tryout, and she had interest from AEW.
“That’s the matter of a few months, that’s all within the last year, so it’s very clear that she had a great impression on a lot of people. And working with people like Deonna Purrazzo who are somewhat powerful within the companies that they’re in, and having a great showing, that goes awfully well for them too.”

Fightful Select also noted last week that there was a ‘big internal push’ for WWE to sign Rok-C following impressing at the tryout.
