If all the Cody Rhodes stuff didn’t happen last week, all we’d be talking about is that STEVE AUSTIN IS RETURNING AT WRESTLEMANIA GUYS.
It hasn’t been officially confirmed or announced by WWE, but all reports are pointing to it being on the card, and Austin’s opponent is none other than fellow Stunnerer, Kevin Owens.
Owens has repeatedly insulted the state of Texas – home of WrestleMania 38, Steve Austin, and, erm, Texans – for the past number of weeks now, and the reason he’s been doing that came clear when reports of Austin returning emerged.
Just in case there’s still any doubt as to whether it’s happening, Owens is continuing his antics on Twitter, and when he was asked what he thinks of Texas – specifically Victoria, Texas – he replied: “Sounds like a really lame place”.
If you didn’t know, Victoria, Texas is Austin’s hometown. Actually it isn’t he just liked the name Victoria when he was picking where he was going to be billed from, but he is at least from Texas and you get the point.
If Austin is coming back for his first match in almost 20 years, what do you think of the choice for Kevin Owens to be his opponent?
Owens’ win/loss record for 2022 so far is 5-4. To see all WWE men’s win/loss records, click here.
